K-pop artists took over Billboard’s year-end charts and sported their global popularity this year, with artists such as Fifty Fifty, Jungkook, Stray Kids and NewJeans placing their names on Billboard’s 2023 wrap-up report.
Billboard’s year-end charts compile the performance of songs, albums and artists from November of the previous year to October of the current year.
Girl group Fifty Fifty ranked No. 44 on Billboard’s year-end Hot 100 Songs chart with “Cupid,” becoming the first K-pop girl group to enter the chart.
Jungkook of BTS has also been placed at No. 82 on the same chart with “Seven,” which features American rapper Latto. The song is the first by a K-pop soloist to enter the chart in 11 years since singer Psy’s “Gangnam Style” in 2012.
Charlie Puth’s “Left and Right,” which Jungkook featured in, sat at No. 186 on year-end Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)” at No. 31 on the year-end Digital Song Sales chart.
