As the week in music comes to a close, Hypebeast has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.

This week’s lineup is led by OffsetBad Bunny and Westside Gunn who each released the albums Set It Off, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana (Nobody Knows What Will Happen Tomorrow) and AND THEN YOU PRAY FOR ME, respectively. Offset – Set It Off

Offset follows up his 2019 solo debut effort Father of 4 with Set It Off. Enlisting the help of the likes of Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Future, his partner Cardi B and more, the record hears the Migos member dive into his creativity and enjoy the sonic space he’s found himself in, ensuring that he thrives in his newfound artistry.

Bad Bunny – Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana (Nobody Knows What Will Happen Tomorrow) 

Bad Bunny’s Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana (Nobody Knows What Will Happen Tomorrow) is a step away from its predecessor, Un Verano Sin Ti, but sounds like a step in the right direction. Taking inspiration from sounds like Jersey club, electronic music and dembow, the 22-track album leaves fans to wonder how else the Puerto Rican star can elevate his music from here.

Westside Gunn – AND THEN YOU PRAY FOR ME

Westside Gunn is confident that his last studio album AND THEN YOU PRAY FOR ME is one to be remembered. The project features contributions from RZA, Rick Ross, Jeezy, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher, J.I.D., DJ Drama, Giggs, Ty Dolla $ign, Denzel Curry, Stove God Cooks, Tay Keith, Boldy James, EST Gee, Rome Streetz, Daringer, Conductor Williams, Beat Butcha and more, and features an artwork creative designed by the late Virgil Abloh. “I have Virgil Abloh doing my artwork and who left on earth can say that,” the rapper shares. “I cannot disrespect his legacy, he’s immortal and I feel this is his way of blessing me; even though he’s not here in the physical.”

Phoenix x Pusha T x Chad Hugo x BENEE – “All Eyes On Me”

A surprising effort comes from Phoenix, Pusha T, Chad Hugo of The Neptunes and BENEE for a new version of the French band’s “All Eyes On Me,” which appeared on their 2022 album Alpha Zulu. “A huge thank you to le Roi Pusha-T – most played artist in our backstage; to Chad Hugo, who always showed up when we were playing in Virginia, it’s about time we worked together! And to Benee, who worked at light speed to make this happen and added some magic. MERCI!!!” the band shares in a statement.

Jamila Woods – Water Made Us

Jamila Woods returns with Water Made Us, her first album since 2019’s LEGACY! LEGACY! The project features duendita, Saba and Peter CottonTale, while its title a reference to the Toni Morrison quote, “All water has a perfect memory and is forever trying to get back to where it was.”

Ice Spice x Rema – “Pretty Girl”

Ice Spice joins forces with Rema for the RiotUSA-produced cut, “Pretty Girl.” The single arrives just a day before the artist is set to perform on Saturday Night Live as the season premiere musical guest.

Black Pumas – “Angel”

Black Pumas share their latest single “Angel,” set to appear on their upcoming album Chronicles of a Diamond. “I remember feeling overwhelmed by everything going on with my family and the neighborhood I was living in and hoping to find sanctuary in the actual voice of an angel,” singer, writer and co-producer Eric Burton says. “There was a laundromat nearby that served as a quiet place for me, and that song started to come to me as I stared into a still-life painting of flowers.”

Lord Apex x Freddie Gibbs – “Phoenix”

Lord Apex enlists Freddie Gibbs for the new track “Phoenix,” set to appear on the London star’s upcoming album The Good Fight. “The inspiration behind making ‘Phoenix’ was just because I felt I was rising out of the ashes of a volcano, I was going through so much while finishing the album,” he explains.

TOBi – PANIC

TOBi drops his his soulful new project PANIC, which he describes as “he epitome of unapologetic soul music and we held nothing back, which I am truly proud of.” He adds, “From the stories of vulnerability, masculinity, personal family issues, social commentary, there was no stone left unturned here. I can’t wait for the world to consume it in full and I hope people appreciate the work and energy put in this because we aimed to raise the artistic ceiling higher than what it currently is.”
