Kardashian’s black dress featured Chrome Hearts’ signature crosses all over.
Kim Kardashian arrived on the red carpet for the 2023 Council of Fashion Designers of America Fashion Awards on Monday in New York, wearing a backless silhouette from Chrome Hearts. Her leather gown featured a halter neckline with the brand’s signature crosses all over.
Kardashian opted for curtain bags with a high bun. For makeup, she wore a smokey eye and her signature nude lip. She had her nails painted black to coordinate with her black dress.
The reality star and entrepreneur is a past CFDA Fashion Award winner. In 2018, she took home the organization’s Influencer Award. In 2022, she received the Innovation Award for her brand Skims.
Skims keeps growing in the fashion industry. In April, the brand launched a dedicated shop inside Saks Fifth Avenue’s New York flagship store. In June, the brand revealed two new lines of swimwear in a campaign shot by Steven Klein. The collection included neoprene one-piece suits, bikinis and cover-ups adorned with scuba-inspired zipper details that came in three neutral shades: maroon brown, black and slate gray.
In July, Skims hit a $4 billion valuation after raising $270 million in Series C funding led by Wellington Management. The brand is setting the stage for a potential initial public offering.
Since 1980, the Council of Fashion Designers of America has celebrated the top talent in fashion design with the CFDA Awards. Presented by Amazon Fashion, this year’s ceremony is held at the Museum of Natural History and hosted by actress Anne Hathaway.
