Momoa will follow ‘Wonka’ star Timothée Chalamet, who will host next week.
Jason Momoa is returning to Studio 8H to host Saturday Night Live.
The Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom star will host the late-night sketch series on Nov. 18. The show will mark Momoa’s second hosting gig on SNL, where he’ll be joined by musical guest Tate McRae.
The move comes as Momoa readies to promote the long-delayed Lost Kingdom, which will wash ashore into theaters Dec. 22.
Before Momoa’s turn on the SNL stage, his holiday season box office rival Timothée Chalamet, whose musical Wonka opens Dec. 15, will host the show. Chalamet will be joined by musical guest boygenius for the Nov. 11 show. (Follow along with all season 49 hosts and musical guests here.)
SNL got off to a late start this season due to the writers strike, with the new season launching Oct. 14 with former castmember Pete Davidson as host. The show’s cast returns intact from last season, with James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman moving up from featured players to repertory players. Chloe Troast also joined the cast as a featured player.
