BTS will not appear at the World Scout Jamboree concert on Friday, but 800 million won ($600,000) worth of BTS photocard sets will be given out for free on the site, according to the boy band’s agency HYBE.
The World Scout Jamboree attendees of the “K-pop Super Live” concert will be given a goodie bag prepared by the Culture Ministry, HYBE and Kakao Entertainment, containing light sticks, Kakao Friends merchandise and BTS photocards.
The concert will take place on Friday at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in western Seoul at 7 p.m., after the closing ceremony of the Jamboree.
HYBE said it will give out a total of 43,000 BTS photocard sets.
The photocard set, sold at HYBE Insight, the agency’s in-house museum, includes seven photocards, one per each member of BTS.
“We have decided to provide [the photocard set] so the 40 thousand participants from around 150 nations around the world can feel and experience the K-pop culture up close,” HYBE said in a press release Friday.
“We hope the performance becomes a special opportunity for the participants to build up precious and meaningful memories about Korea.”
The concert will feature K-pop bands IVE, NewJeans, NCT Dream, ITZY, Mamamoo, The Boyz, Shownu & Hyungwon, fromis_9, ZeroBaseOne, P1Harmony, KARD, The New Six, ATBO, xikers, Holybang and Libelante and singers Kang Daniel, Kwon Eun-bi and Jo Yuri.
