Reality TV contestant Dannii Erskine has reportedly died following a fatal car accident last week.
Erskine, 28, rose to prominence in the 2019 season of Bride and Prejudice: The Forbidden Weddings when she made a bid to marry her then-partner Denton Ansley.
So Dramatic broke the news on Tuesday, confirming the 28-year-old had died after being struck by a car last week.
It is understood Erskine was on her way home from the shops when she was allegedly T-boned by another car on April 28.
According to Erskine’s sister, the former public figure had gone through a green light however the other driver was “intoxicated” and crashed into her.
“She was alive and taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital,” Dee Erskine told the publication.
However the sister confirmed she had later died from brain injuries, with life support machines being turned off in the early hours of April 29.
“She will be loved, very much missed and it was a horrible tragedy. Please be safe on the roads. This can happen to anyone,” the sister said.
“She was 28. Full of life and trying her best to move on and meet someone. Now she won’t get that chance.”
Erskine’s family is said to have paid tribute on her Instagram page which has since been deleted.
“28/04 took Dannii’s life to a speeding driver – A awful accident. We appreciate and respect wishes we have received as a family. The account is going to be deleted in the next day,” the post read at the time.
A story was also posted on the account regarding funeral arrangements.
“Funeral arrangements are in the process if you haven’t receive a message privately and are interested in saying goodbye,” the message read.
The family is yet to release an official statement.
